Agent Enhancements

This release:

• Updates Splunk Distribution of OpenTelemetry .NET to version 1.15.0, OpenTelemetry .NET Automatic Instrumentation to version 1.16.0, and several other dependencies.
• Setting APPDYNAMICS_OPENTELEMETRY_ENABLED=true now enables Dual Signal mode instead of Hybrid mode.
• For many application types running in Dual Signal or OTel-only mode, the agent automatically sets the service.namespace, service.name, and deployment.environment.name resource attributes. For more information, see Configure OpenTelemetry

This release:

• upgrades OpenSSL from version 3.6.2 to version 3.6.4.
• upgrades Curl from version 8.21.0 to version 8.22.0.

This release:

• Makes Docker PID-level process metrics opt-in, enforces the Docker individual-process selector, and adds environment-variable and JVM-property overrides for host and Docker process selectors. See Configure Docker Visibility and Machine Agent Settings for Server Visibility.
• Adds optional allowlist validation for remediation-action log paths. Validation is disabled by default for backward compatibility. See Machine Agent Configuration Properties and Create a Local Script (Remediation) Action.
• Updates the bundled OTel Collector lifecycle for RPM installations using systemd. Fresh installations leave the collector disabled and inactive, and upgrades preserve its existing service state. See Linux Install Using the RPM Package.
• Adds AppDynamics account resource attributes to the bundled OTel Collector configuration. See Combined Agent for Infrastructure Visibility.
• Includes bug fixes and the bundled component updates.
