Splunk Observability Cloud Free Edition provides Agent Observability without a fixed trial period.

Free Edition gives developers and engineering teams access to Agent Observability for monitoring agentic applications and the infrastructure and services that support them. It supports up to 15 hosts.

Monitor AI Agents

Use Agent Observability in Free Edition to:

  • Trace agent workflows from requests to responses, including model calls, tool calls, and retrieval steps.
  • Monitor latency, errors, response quality, hallucinations, and other agent behaviors.
  • Review privacy and security signals, including prompt-injection and sensitive-data risks.
  • Track token usage, infrastructure consumption, and the operational cost of agentic applications.

Choose a Sign-up Path

You can request Free Edition from the Splunk website. Splunk Cloud Platform customers can also start from the Splunk Observability app. The Splunk Cloud Platform flow uses your Splunk Cloud Platform identity to open Splunk Observability Cloud.

If the Splunk Cloud Platform flow offers a connection to existing Splunk Cloud Platform logs for your selected use case, follow the guided connection steps. This connection does not add Splunk Core log capabilities to the Free Edition entitlement.

Get Free Edition from the Splunk Website

Request a Splunk Observability Cloud Free Edition organization from the Splunk website.

You can request Free Edition without a credit card.

  1. Go to the Splunk Observability Cloud Free Edition page.
  2. Select where you want your account hosted.
  3. Enter the requested contact and company information.
  4. Select Start Free Edition.
  5. Check your email for the account message.
    The message can take approximately 10 minutes to arrive. If you do not receive the email, check your spam folder for the account message. Contact Splunk Support if you still do not receive the message.
Your Free Edition organization is ready after you verify the account and sign in.
